Altitude, huh? I'll see what I can come up with.
ReplyDeleteHey, Fleur! NICE!
ReplyDeleteHere's one from my chinny, chin...chin:
Outerspace on earth
Streaking through Antarctic's cold
Naked, high on LIFE
I'll fiddle with a post, but thought I'd pop in with my first thought. Maybe something a little tongue(?) in cheek for an encore 'ku... if the mood strikes me, of course.
Shoot, forgot my first link...
ReplyDeleteOUTERSPACE ON EARTH
Streaking through Antarctic's cold
Naked, high on LIFE
Oh, I like the "streaking" and "naked". Excellent, Rafy!
DeleteOh? Fine a lot. And I am up.
ReplyDeleteIcarus's wings
lifted to great height
borne on spring wings of want
drifting then? - undone
For a moment
escaping the norm
summer's sky filling my eyes-
BEEP - damn alarm clock!
Blue
winter mountain tramp
snow, peaks, wind, white, beautiful
what a world ~ so -cold-
This is your schoolmarm, speaking. Check your syllables!
DeleteThat said, may I also add that these are beautiful and I love the visuals, too!
DeleteThanks for the invite. You need to get your crack legal team after these folks for intellectual property infringement:

I am going to investigate this for sure! If my brother can get successful gastric bypass surgery in Tijuana, he can find me a good lawyer.
DeleteGreat theme Fleur, I can't help but play, but cannot host next week. I am going to be out of commission. Nevertheless, here is an entry with a visual at Serendipity.
ReplyDeleteWild wings, primal calls --
spring flight north to fatten, breed.
Cranes: fierce and graceful.
Cheers.
Oh, this is lovely!
DeleteAltitude by latitude, Rafael? Awesome visuals.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot in your haiku, serendipity. It's almost a book, somehow, but an interesting one. You wrap nature up so very well.
Why thank you Doom, a compliment form a wordsmith.
DeleteSerendipity
Good evening Fleur,
ReplyDeleteOne to start:
When seeking safe ground
Altitude and attitude
Are your best resolve
Howdy Czar: Hope you are doing well. Throw a few in, yours are always a pleasure read. Maybe you could rattle a few other cages as well.
Good evening, sir. See below. An ode to a mutual friend of Fleur's and mine. Another to come that I just can't get my head around yet.
DeleteVery nice, Karl! I need to have that engraved on something.
DeleteLook at all the wonderful entries so far!
ReplyDeleteHere is my contribution:

Feel the need for speed?
Step out the door, feel the roar!
Plummet, soar, then pull!
You may exit high
At times you may exit low
Touchdown always good
Yea well, on the last one. until something goes, snap. buts that's another week.
Nice turn out folks!
Evening Fleur,
ReplyDeleteHere is another from Serendipity. True story - happened to a relative who ironically owns a successful parachute company. No time to jump, and he had to avoid crashing across a highway. He said nearly fifty years of flying and rehearsing for just such a disaster saved his bacon. I am certain he would rather have floated down in one of his chutes.
“Fly the crash!” thought he.
Wrecked plane, cut hand: damn lucky!
No time for a ‘chute.
I's got a couple more for ya' Fleur...mostly cuz nothing's quite stick'n:(
ReplyDeleteLone atop the hill
Altitude is attitude
Summer's king reveals
Springtime showers cleanse
Lifting spirits; heaven bound
Feet firm on the ground
Oh...and I'm UP
Wonderful turnout, HM friends! Thank you all for participating--some of you have made multiple rounds! Now the hard part comes....!
ReplyDeleteWhat's up, doc?
ReplyDeleteHigher and higher
ReplyDeletePassions swirling; dizzying
My lover lifts me
Yep, late to the party ... but couldn't resist! :D
Have an amazing weekend y'all!
Uhmmm... nice. I've been... thinking on just such notions of late. Such a sweet place, this world can be.
